Tomorrow Comes the Song

Tomorrow the Comes the Song
I look around at so many weary faces.  The days are long, the air is thick with evil.  Some days it seems impossible to catch our breath.  We collapse into our beds at night and sigh, “When, Lord?”.  We do this, because we feel it.  We know His time draws near, but it was never His will for us to shrink back in despair.  Why live as though we have no hope!?  We have work yet to do!  Our work is soon to end, our rest is upon us, but we need to stay strong right now!  We were called for such a time as this!

Be strong!
We are not here to play, to dream, to drift;
We have hard work to do, and loads to lift.
Shun not the struggle; face it.
‘Tis God’s gift.

Be strong!
Say not the days are evil—who’s to blame?
And fold the hand and acquiesce—O shame!
Stand up, speak out, and bravely,
In God’s name.

Be strong!
It matters not how deep entrenched the wrong,
How hard the battle goes, the day how long,
Faint not, fight on!

Tomorrow comes the song.
